I am a postdoctoral researcher at the “Communication and Distributed Systems (COMSYS) Group” at the RWTH Aachenand I am project manager of the network-related aspects of the Mobile ACcess Project. From from 2006 to 2009, I was a member of the graduate school for software for communication systems. My research focus is mobile communications, efficient end-host mobility, and network security. I am also involved in the development and standardization of the Host Identity Protocol in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
I began my studies in Computer Science at the University of Tübingen (Germany) in 2000 and graduated as a Diplom-Informatiker (MsC equiv.) in 2006. I was with the Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) in Finland from October 2005 to May 2006 where I was working on my Diplomarbeit (Master’s Thesis) on Lightweight Authentication for the Host Identifier Protocol. The thesis was awarded the KuVS prize for the best Diploma thesis in 2007. From 2001 to 2005 I developed dynamic web applications for :meacon.media.technology.design.
I enjoy playing with my two kids, taking art photographs, and running.
